Find by Certainly exists to solve this — providing a single, independent directory where you can discover, compare, and evaluate certifications with confidence.

We are a project of Certainly, a cooperative focused on trust and transparency in sustainability claims. Our directory is free to use, vendor-neutral, and not funded by certification bodies — so our recommendations serve your interests, not theirs.

Editorial Methodology

Every certification profile in our directory goes through a structured curation and verification process. We combine automated data collection with human editorial review to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Data Sourcing

Program data is sourced directly from official certification body websites, published handbooks, and publicly available documentation. We scrape structured data (pricing tables, FAQ sections, exam details) and cross-reference against multiple sources.

Verification Process

Each profile is enriched with verified data including costs, prerequisites, renewal requirements, and accreditation details. AI-assisted enrichment is validated against source material — we flag confidence levels and never guess at critical data.

Ongoing Updates

Certification programs change their requirements, pricing, and structures regularly. We re-verify profiles periodically and display "last verified" dates so you know how current the information is. Users can also flag outdated data.

Domain-Aware Classification

We classify certifications by what they certify — individuals, buildings, products, organizations, projects, communities, and more. This domain-driven approach means building certifications show audit-based assessment details, while professional credentials show exam and career data.
